What do you know about...
Weiner Dogs?
Hot Dogs?
Sausage Dogs?

Most commonly known as a "Doxie".  Yes they are cute! Yes they are fun!  But Dachshunds are not for everyone.

It is very important for you to do your research to see if this is the right breed for you, your household and your lifestyle.

Do you have the time?

Puppys are a lot of work. And Dachshund's will continue to require a lot of your time and effort.  For all passionate Dachshund owners, its like second-nature to include our teenie-weenies in everything that we do.  Your little Doxie will be a part of everything you do around the house, too!  If you aren't giving them the attention that they need, we promise you - they will for sure remind you that they are there.

Do you have the patience?

Who ranks #1 on the Top-10 List of Most Stubborn Dog Breeds? Yep! You guessed it, Dachshunds!  To have a Dachshund around, you must have patience and persistence.  It will all pay off, we promise.  But you need to make sure you are willing and committed to giving your Doxie his/her best chance at obedience and a happy, healthy life with you.

Is your house Doxie-Ready?

Especially in Bermuda, where proper fencing around our homes, or dog parks isn't always a "thing".  Is your house ready for one of these little energizer weenies?  What other animals do you have in your home?  Are your neighbors close by that your Doxie's bark will annoy them?

4

Are you prepared for the financial responsibility?

Doxie's come at a premium because of their stature and unique traits.  Put that aside though, and you have the average monthly and annual financial commitments of ensuring your dog remains healthy.  Food and toys, vet visits, flea-prevention, annual registration, and grooming are a few of the main financial responsibilities that you will need to commit to.

Are you ready?! If so, get in touch with the Breeder to schedule a time to view the puppies.
